For sale is my Canon C-Mount 15-150mm t2.8 Zoom lens (s16 format)

I purchased it to be used with my 2/3rd interchangeable Scarlet once released, but since then I've decided to go with all primes instead. So I'm selling this now just incase someone is interested in buying a Scarlet Cinema and they might want to have a nice Zoom to work with for cheap, or even have a Red One and wish to use it as well here is a cheap lens for you.

It's already been fitted with gears, and is in GREAT shape, barring the slight mark on the front element. You'll be able to see it in the pics.

I'm looking for $300 shipped

Just drop me a PM, and reply to the thread that way I'll get an email alert.

Hi,

I just thought I'd post a note here to say that this model lens renders beautiful images. Before our Reds shipped we had a SI2K for a while and tested it with a variety of glass, including one of these Canon zooms. We had heard that Les Boscher in the UK had converted some to PL and other mounts for people shooting S16, so we bought one with the c-mount to test with the SI. The lens was sharp through the range and sharper than most wide open. Although I don't know for sure, I would guess from the vintage of these that they have the same coatings as the Canon FD lenses and possibly the K35 cinema primes. The image is very organic, filmic and little on the warm side.

If you were to add some c-mount primes on the wider side, you could have a good start for shooting with the c-mount scarlet.

Although I never verified it, I am pretty sure these were originally made to cover the 1" tube cameras, which is why they covered the S16 frame.

Thanks so much for that first hand info Walter. I haven't had the opportunity to use it, but after reading your post I just might hold onto it for a couple more months.

Interested in trading for a CoolLights LED Panel 5600k Spot model light panel?

daylight balanced lighting roughly equivalent to a 650w tungsten fresnel.

I wonder if this would cover 3k - which would cover any ENG work I would do with a Red MX...

add a doubler and shoot 4k...

I've since decided I won't be buying a Scarlet right away so I've dropped the price if anyone is interested.

I do. If you'd like it I could have it in the mail by this afternoon. I take direct payment through either Venmo or Paypal. Where would I be shipping it?
