Poor resolution out of after Effects

I have been using Redcine 211 working great

When rendering a short clip from after effects the resolution is poor.

I am importing a 4KHD R3D file into after effects performing a small colour correction then export 1920*1080 . I have tries pro res 422 and prores 444

Mac 8 Core 10.6.3

I know this is too obvious, but AE renders out at the comp resolution setting, make sure it is set to full and not half or something else...

Have you got open GL support switched on? I find it produces strange low quality renders - no idea why but worth checking if in doubt, turn it off, before rendering.

I use after effects a lot and was unaware that the resolution setting applied to the render, this is the first red footage I have done in AE. so I did have the resolution in the comp turn to low as it was 4K

I did have open GL render turned on.

Will do some tests, thanks
