Hello dear reduser,
here is a precut I'm working on (for free because she deserve it) for a cook leaving in Tuscany.

picture.php

It's not done yet, I need to integrate much more food in it, but my hands are full at the moment.
Anyway she enjoyed the editing as it is, and decided to put the clip online.
To watch it, you'll need to wait (on home page 10sec) for the Ants instructions and the screen to appear.
LINK http://marie-zarro.com

Or the direct link to the movie (not integrate to the chef's web page) http://vodhd.massmotionmedia.com/breizo_as3/display.html?projet=marie&width=1280&height=720&bgcolor=000000&autoStart=true&WaitforAllRichmediaDWL=false&autoRepeat=false&autohide_tracker=false&autostop_clickSurface=true
Hope you'll enjoy it.
Regards

Thanks Brice and I love it.

Also I've just got back from Tuscany about week ago.

Unfortunately couldn't take R1 with me because it was in California for MX upgrade.

Next time I'm with R1MX there for sure.

Probably after Ketch Rossi and some other Italians here at the forum I should claim now that I'm also pretty good pasta cook.

To give you an idea about my place (tenuta) in South of Tuscany here are some fresh photos below:

Crete Senesi, South of Tuscany.

On video : some nice shots but color grade might benefit from more warmth - food always looks better with warm color grading, and there are some human-perceptual reasons for this.

Try it, you'll see.

some very nice shots. I find the design of the webpage distracting, especially those ants passing by every now and then (besides, I don't see the connection between food and ants, and i don't like it.)

Lovely mood, and love the idea of using timelapse for food stuff.

In the food c/u at the end I would have used some cross fades.

To see the film in full res without the ants, this link works better: http://vodhd.massmotionmedia.com/br...hide_tracker=false&autostop_clickSurface=true

Also, especially if you work for free, I would insist on getting credit at least at the end of the film.

That shoot was not for free. I am sure you ate some of that food after it was prepared.

Reminding me of my last visit to Tuscany in 2008.

Great work Brice, and off course now I hate you for making me ever more nostalgic of home ha ha.

This actually seats just 40 minutes form current location of the Ketch Rossi Humanitas/Ketchframe Studios Italy.

He he, Sanjin, I should take you up on cooking me some good food when I visit.

Again great work, thanks for sharing!!

Well, it seems like I'm late on that thread!
Thank you all for your words, specially considering the job isn't done yet.
I didn't mention it but their is no color grade just an export .animation (using red cine and crimson). It was months ago.
I can't wait to use red cine x and flut on that reel.
Now gentlemen my apologise for the multi quote and the bad English
I find the design of the webpage distracting, especially those ants passing by every now and then (I don't see the connection between food and ants, and i don't like it.).
Hé hé actually the ants are there for distraction.
As for the connection between ants and food, maybe it would make more sense if they were carying food. The big majority of those insects pass their time carying seeds, bits of fruits, meat, dead insect.
Beside that , Martin I anderstand your point, food and insect together isn't a glamourous way to represent a meal. Maybe it can cause a bad perception or interpretation of the website.
I still want to give a try this summer on ants carrying food.

That shoot was not for free. I am sure you ate some of that food after it was prepared.
Reminding me of my last visit to Tuscany in 2008.

David you're right that was delicious. A part she is a talented hard worker chef, she has also two qualities hard to find in the cooking world: humility and generosity.

Hey Brice,
Where are you located in France ?
Jean Charles when I'm in Paris it's Paris Montmartre.

Ketch,
Scusa per la nostalgia
I'm not to far from Sanjin location too, between Sienne and Florence maybe one day I'll visit your studio, I'm certain their is good restaurant around.

Sanjin if you plan another trip in Tuscany, contact me, maybe we can find the time to have a glace of good super Tuscan wine.

And by the way the view from my editing room. Much better than some high tec cave without window I use to work in Paris.
Regards
Brice

You are right, it's a really bad loop. I did use the Floyd just to give a flavour, and to remind me to do some sound design later.

Music?

Music?

Hey Man,

I really like what you did here, nice warm naturalistic feel with a point of view. I agree that the clip from Pink Floyd is distracting. What's the the name of the violin piece that you used?

-Dave

Music composed by Johann Sebastian Bach
Prelude From the Unaccompanied Cello Suite No. 1 in G Major.
Performed by Yo-Yo Ma.
Glad you liked that Dave

Hey Brice,

After watching that, I am STARVING man! Great stuff. I am off to Tuscany early next year with the family for a 2 week holiday and am primarily looking forward to the food. I really hate good hi-def food shots because I always end up raiding the fridge afterwards in a fruitless attempt to quell the hunger pangs.
