Anyone using the Addonics Cfast esata card reader? Wondering if it's mac and red friendly. I'm also wondering if anyone is using the Addonics external port multiplier with a Macbook Pro? Let me know.

Bump. I'd also like to hear. We got an Addonics Sata reader that is ment to be internal, and it worked in PCs, and when we hooked it up externally via a Expresscard Esata adapter, but it wouldnt work internally in our tower. We tabled it for now, but that little external esata one makes me wonder...

I was under the impression that their cfast reader is only for their Cfast cards.....

UPDATE:
Addonics just confirmed to me that this reader is ONLY for their CFast card. Not compatible with RED cards or any other CF cards.

Thanks Maz for finding that out. Their website had this on it:

* Internal DigiDrive (flash reader)
* External DigiDrive (flash reader)
* SD / CF / CFast DigiAdapter
* PCMCIA / ExpressCard DigiAdapter

So I thought maybe it would do CF and SD also. How about the port multiplier? Anybody tried that? I bought a Sonnet QIO and it didn't work,
so I'm trying to come up with a combination that is similar to that

I haven't used that -- but do use one of the Addonics little esata 2.5" 2 drive Raid boxes for remote in the field downloads. Very fast (way beats FW 800 on laptop) and Raid 1 protected. And easy to switch drives in and out. Not reliable bus power, so have a small battery to power when I'm really out in remote locations. For $100 (unpopulated) -- hard to beat.
