Finally, Kessler Crane's Cine-Slider is shipping at enough volumes that I have got mine at the begging of the week.

unfortunetally I couldn't use my R1MX for the fist test because is in P+S Technik Service in Ottobrunn, Muenchen for collimation of IMS mount.

But then I tried it with 7D and Quick & Dirty dolly slide type of footage find it below.

Kessler Crane Cine-Slider is very good made and designed slider also with reasonable price.

I put it on Libec H60 tripod kit that is also a gear with great value and good price.

Of course with R1MX I would need a second support (tripod) and I do have enough of that stuff in my depot.

Q @ D test with R1MX is coming up next week.

Stay tuned.

All these gears are right now Epic/Scarlet ready!!!

Thanks for posting Sanjin. I'm downloading your test shot right now. I also just placed an order for some Kessler gear. Mine shipped yesterday so I should get it by Friday.

I've never had luck with their regular Flextrack dolly, once you sit on it, everything twists and doesn't roll smooth. Strong as heck though.

I really don't see how this can go wrong, though.

Hello,

Very cool. I'd love to know how well their Oracle controller, elektraDrive motors and the Revolution pan/tilt head works for time-lapse if anyone else is using their system.

After reading through the site, it looks like you would need two Oracle controllers to control all the motors for the Cineslider and the Revolution pan/tilt head.

"The ORACLE Controller can only control either the Revolution Head or an elektraDRIVE motor at one time. To perform 3-axis movements with both the Revolution Head and an elektraDRIVE motor for a slider at the same time, you will need two controllers."

I've been thinking of rolling my own control system with an arduino board but that's a bit off.

Will stay tuned to see what else you come up with in testing.

Best!

Any idea whether it's possible to use 2 lightstands to support the cineslider instead of 2 tripods?

You can use everything that makes the slider steady from any possible shake or movement.

Andrew, I have the revolution head and Oracle controller. Send me a private message if you need any info. I love it.

We just got off a shoot using the red with RPP's and did a fair bit on the Kessler slider.

With that much weight its really pushing this little unit to the max, but, its (to use the lingo du jour) "good enough". We had our oconner 1030 head ontop of the ball mount attachment, and it seemed like it the high center of gravity that was doing most of the de-stabilizing.

The build quality is great, its super smooth and quiet. We simply mounted it onto apple boxes and all things considered it held up well.
