  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Can we get a drop-dead Epic weight of 10lbs?

I might have access to a gyro rig that has a FIRM max weight of 10.0 lbs. Does anyone (Red team?) know if that will be possible? Maybe with light prime, CF card + small battery, etc?

Thanks!

Nice..... So i can use my Glidecam X-10.

Man you guys are up late,or get up very early!.. i`m just off to work,in London.

redmote, battery, even SSD connection could all possibly just be on your belt. you could theoretically just run around with body, lens and lcd and have everything else strapped to your body....

Nice Tom

Nice Tom

Tom, I sat down to post the same question - in a hotel room after a shoot today. The same question, but with some nuances, that affect (affect, not effect) some gear choices -

can we get rough weights of:

epic min body weight w/battery + PL mount (does body weight of 5 lbs include PL mount?)
weight of battery/side handle combo
weight of pro IO module + epic module adapter combo
weight of redmote

If some of this i addressed elsewhere, sorry.

Advanta-jib is nice, but so painful to setup...
I can mount my eGripment Maxi Jib easier
than my dykortech... Though, I'm really happy I kept both.

15lbs was nice for my hvx, but really too low for R1.

With Epic, Scarlet and Redmotes, guys like Kessler, Dykortech and other cheap grip manufacturers will have lots of new clients.
