Hi Guys!

Here's some of the on set pictures I took from the Feature Film I finished on Feb this year, This the real story about one of the Hewer in Mainland China, those Survivals had been spent their 25 days under 700 meters of the Colliery without food, they only got water and ate the Coal. We spent 60 shooting days in the poor village in South West of Mainland China, took more than 4 hours to the location first of 40 days, it's pretty hard working, I could only slept about 5-6 hours a day, after finished this film I less more than 10kgs, it's might cause so many hand held shot. I hope you guys like it, welcome any of your great suggestions, cause I gonna have the color grading on DI next month, guess this film will gonna shows around Sept.

Here's some of the night scenes pictures I took with Mark II, basically I created very low key lights for most of the Colliery Int scenes, the key light was around T 0.7(Picture No 5), and the Fill Light & Back Ground was around T 0.5 or even less, I only used few of the 2' T5 Cool Lights with soft gel, I'd ask the props guys to spray the water on the wall & wood to create some of shinning surfacing & refection, so, once it got some of tiny light, it can get refection and tiny shinning. I also used most of the natural light sourcing from the talent you can see from their helmet, Wide open for most of the Colliery. So, If you have any good suggestions, please eel free to drop e a message. Thanks a lot.

The Camera I used for this Feature Film:
Arri LT
Arri 435
Red One 4K For some of the CG Scenes
Arri Ultra Prime Lens T1.9
Film Stock
Kodak 5219 500T for Low Light Night Scenes Int & Ext
Kodak 5212 100T for Day Scenes Ext & Int
Kodak 5260 (Base on save of the budget) Night Scenes Ext & Int
Kodak 5247 (Base on save of the budget) Day Scenes Ext & Int

Cheers

Shot in Mainland China, 60 shooting days.

Here's some of the night scenes pictures I took with Mark II, here's very low key lights for most of the Cola Mine Int scenes, the key light was around T 0.7(Picture No 5), and the Fill Light & Back Ground was around T 0.5 or even less, I only used few of the 2' T5 Cool Lights with soft gel.

For those low light scenes especially under the Colliery, I decide to push one stop to create more real and had some documentary look.
