Hello All,
In a few days we'll start to shoot on the new M-X a feature, the production want to shoot on REDCode 42, resolution 4K 16:9.
The RED drive and the CF card announce "invalid setting", is there any problem to shoot on this setting and on this media?

I'm not 100% about the drive, but you cannot shot RC42 @ 4k 16:9 on CF Cards, however you can shoot RC36 w/ a card. There's a chart within the RED Manual that gives the resolution capabilities for each media type.

I have the same problem. AFter looking in the manual (pages 40-41) I see Redcode 42 supported in all resolutions, including 4.5 WS at 25fps. But unfortunatelly that is not the case in realworld. Anybody with some firsthand experience on this? Thanks

You cannot shoot 4K 16:9 with RC42 on a drive or a 16GB card.

4KHD, 4K 2:1, 4K Ana and all other flavors including 2K and 3K modes are all valid using RC42, at least with the Red Drive.
