  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Any word on next Final Cut or Mac Pro May 5th?

My friend found a prototype copy of Final Cut Studio 3 on a barstool at The Sink, and we loaded it into my Mac Tower. It's awesome. Just like Mr. Jobs says. Because the latest version of Clipfinder now solves all of its gamma issues, color shifting, and data management issues.

ppppppppppbt, Apple! You have until August and then Final Cut is getting dumped for good. If I can even stand it that long.

...and USB 3.0?

Just look at this as an alternativ to the MacBook Pro:
www.hp.se

Comes with USB3.0 and Esata port.

And windows. PITA

Just to be clear have 3 windows laptops and 2 towers in the house - all PITA.

1 macbook pro, 1 macpro tower, 1 ipad, 2 iphones all smooth sailing.

Dear Mr. Jobs,

However, I would like to make one small hardware feature request if I may. Can you please find it in your heart to put another damn expansion slot into the next revision of the Mac Pro? I'm always coming up one slot short.

i feel your pain... always one short (in audio and video worlds)

Steve,
Getting worried about Apple’s interest in Final Cut. Last updates were not stellar. I heard a bunch of engineers were dropped too – give us a sign you still care about Pro Video, not just the iPad.
Thanks,
Alex

These days Mr. Jobs seems to be responding to everyone (he’s responded to all three of mine), with rather blunt answers. I guess he must’ve been in a good mood, because Alex got a whole three sentences worth, in which Mr. Jobs answered the three of the four questions that all video enthusiasts have been wondering aimlessly. 1) Does Apple care about Final Cut?, 2) Who were the Final Cut employees who got fired?, 3) Will the next release be any good?
We certainly do. Folks who left were in support, not engineering. Next release will be awesome.

Mac Soda is my blog. I happen to be somewhat in the loop regarding Final Cut Studio development, and have heard that a new version is slated to be released this year. While I heard nothing related to features, recent word on the street is that Apple's looking to gear it more towards consumers, which probably is the worst news imaginable. Here's hoping, praying, that the next version stays true to it's roots.

Yep, i also read another steve job's mail regarding the last appleinsider rumour. In that mail he says "kick ass".

But seriously, do you really think steve jobs writes mails like that? Anyway, what is a "whopper"? Is that good for editing?

A whopper is the biggest hamburger at Burger King. Concerning the kicking in the first email, I'd say that sounds like Steve as well.
