2010 World Cup Thread

Spain will win, i'm sure.... they are in a golden generation of players.

My team, England have a chance... purely based on the fact that we have a great manager, Capello. The players are not the best i've seen (Rooney being the exception)... but a good team with a great manager can sometimes do it.

"Maradona Omits Inter Pair" - FIFA.com

"The Inter Milan pair have been two of the key players for Serie A champions
Inter Milan and have been integral in the team reaching the UEFA Champions
League final against Bayern Munich. Real Madrid midfielder Fernando Gago and
Barcelona central defender Gabriel Milito are other prominent absentees.

I think England has a very balanced squad with a manager that finally has the team playing with the pace and control England is known for, rather than trying to play other countries systems. For this reason, I think they will go far.

Im working on a feature here in India now, but we will be shooting a few dance sequences in spain when the cup starts, im super stoked.

"Germany expecting tough time" - FIFA.com

"Despite their FIFA World Cup pedigree, an injury-hit Germany have a tough job on their hands in
South Africa in a group containing Australia, Ghana and Serbia.

IMO, Ballack or no Ballack, pretending Germany will have a tough time is nonsense. They may not be favorites over Spain, but "tough time" is too tough.

Can no longer keep quiet

Can no longer keep quiet

Hello All,
It is nice to see the familiar names chiming in on what really truly matters in the world...
I have read this forum almost daily and the temptation to post has never been greater.
So, here I go, joining in and leaving my humble opinion.
Brazil will take it all.
Messi will be the best player but not enough to do it.
I did a job with Donovan a couple of months ago and he actually scared me a little bit talking about the USA team but there is no way !
I will be shooting in Morocco when the games start but will be back in LA on the 17th and if any of the locals wanna get together to watch a game or two I'll be in.
Thanks Roberto for a thread that will keep me even more glued to this forum.

He he, glad to see you post. Good luck to Brasil and to Ka Ka. It would be very silly to discount Brazil just because they are not coming in with a favorite line up.

Gago isn't going to SA for Argentina, but I am happy to see Ka Ka's Real Madrid's teammate, Gonzalo Higuain, in the Argentina squad.

these vuzuelas are so annoying, i hardly enjoy a game.
even the players are pissed, messi said after yesterdays game, that communication is almost impossible on the field. the atmosphere...well there is no atmosphere, just the sound of one billion bees singing the same note for 90 minutes.

guess this will be the last wc in africa, since the tv stations, who pay for the whole event are taking a hit, everyday less people are watching the games on TV.

fifa should forbid these things.
last year at the confed cup it was annoying, but blatter the idiot failed to do something
