Hi,

Let me start with saying that I'm very grateful for the offer and I'm a stage 2 fan. Im in hahaha.

I also understand that you need to earn money and can't continue to give hand outs etc.

BUT I'd like to ask if it's possible to, when time comes, to make some upgrade path for the accessories available. I know already that I want the PRO I/O module and if it exists, the remote PRO etc.

As far as I understand stage 2 does not have those options. I would like, if possible, to be able to pay to upgrade to these options. I know that I will end up buying the PRO gear afterwards anyway.

I know that this is a way of earning money for you guys but maybe we could meet half way? I pay a small premium to upgrade. That way I don't have to break the bank and get 2 of everything and you guys make a buck?

Thought there was no harm in asking. I know you guys listen but can't always comply.

thanks and look forward to EPIC

Jim wrote in another thread that it will be possible to pay the difference to go Pro if you want. The thread was about the I/O module so I'm not sure about other modules - including the remote. But it would make sense to have both remotes in my world...

Would like to know the exact differences between the Basic and Pro Redmotes, but assuming significantly more functionality would love the option of paying the difference to upgrade too!

That would be great. But unlike the I/O modules, the RedMote's are something you wouldn't mind having an extra.

If I only had the option of getting the Basic Redmote in the package I wouldn't mind buying the Pro version separately and keeping both. Whereas I have no use for the Basic I/O module if I have the Pro I/O.

REDMOTE PRO has a built in wireless follow focus.
The pro is $1,750 as opposed to $550 for the non pro version

Hmm...I see some conjecture about this in that thread, but no confirmation. Personally, I don't think I'll rely on this sort of discussion in making any decisions just yet. Especially since one of them is just a rendering.

the new monitors are touchscreen monitors, so not like the ones available today.
i want to have the smallest 2,7`monitor (great for hidden cam shots in epics smallest configuration) and the 7 or 9 inch monitor for regular cinestyle work.

the redmode pro for the epic...we will see how the wireless follow focus should work with primes, will red sell a Motor? or can we use the standard motors and the redmote pro can communicate with them, will it be able to communicate with 2 motors?

as of now, the redmode pro is a great addition to the fixed scarlet...for 3D.
hopefully, having 2 fixed scarlets alligned and beeing able to focus both with one redmote will be a killer combo.

actually you get a power 3d rig with a wireless follow focus including 2 zooms under 10k.

I'm guessing the redmote pro is mainly meant for working with electronic lenses, like the fixed 8x lens, like the coming ff35 electronic red zooms and HOPEFULLY canon and nikon glass that you can put on any new camera. I don't think it's meant to work with lens motors, but rather extend the capabilities of the new electronic lens mounts. If it does work with electronic mounts and canon/nikon glass then a whole lot of remote follow focus makers should step up their game asap not to be out of business....
