  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

When can we expect the new Bomb EVF ?

Dear Red,

The regular/old/previous EVF has been back ordered, or more precisely discontinued, for quite some time now, though it remains listed in the store. The Bomb EVF, which was initially announced for early 2010, is now announced for spring 2010, which is now.

Of course we all know everything is subject to change, and you don't know what you're doing (I'm quoting Jim here), although somehow I don't entirely believe that. I KNOW you have your hands full, with Epic, all the modules, Scarlet, Red Ray, etc. But... a little update as to where you're at with regards to the Bomb EVF would be nice. Will they be available soon, in large quantities ?

I hope so...

Jarred recently said that they were a few weeks away and that those who had the old EVF on back order would get the initial batches of the new EVF.
 
Well, I am quite eager to hear.

Last I checked the company I work with had the old RED EVF on backorder since November 2008.

I'm rather cranky- but a Bomb EVF would be nice.

Not to beat an old dead horse- but is it labeled "Bomb EVF" or "Red Sight?"

I'm just saying, cause look at my last name. I'd rather have unlabeled or something innocuous.

Maybe Element Technica will make something like their EVF Guard, that attaches and covers the BOMB logo? :)
 
OK... Jarred said in a post recently that there would be no more of the original RED EVF made. Those with the EVF on back-order would be offered the BOMB EVF first. Still a few weeks out from shipping, as of his post last week. I'll try to find the post, but I'm not in a good place to really search right now.

As for the BOMB naming, let's get over that already.

It was a major breaking news event today when someone left a cooler of drinks in Times Square. Having the word Bomb on something that is going to be taken through airports and used in public places is not going to come out well. Remember, they almost shot a girl at the Boston airport because she had blinking LEDs on her shirt.
 
And we're done... This is one horse that has been beat to a pulp.
