hey guys im guna be buying an ssd tommrow, and i want some input before i purchase. im looking at these 2 drives. 40gb ssd from intel and a 64gb from kingston

is the 24gb gap worth the performance increase with the intel ssd? the intel is the superior drive. but i honestly dont know if i will be able to fit windows 7, adobe creative suite cs5 and the host of other smaller programs onto the drive. all of this is the handle editing scarlet footage. footage will be stored on 3 1tb drives in a raid config and another 1.5 tb for backup. anyone have any experience with these brands? thanks in advance.

I'm running an OCZ Vertex 60gb drive which has win7 64 bit PPro,AE CS4,Encore,Edius,Audition,Vegas9,Photoshop and a few other bits on it, there's just under 20GB of space left.

Make sure you buy a drive with TRIM and turn off indexing, oh, and never defrag.

I'm also using a Kingston SSD as a data drive, it was pretty cheap, but it's slower and has no TRIM function.

Personally, I would recommend the Crucial RealSSD C300 128GB 6GBS sata III drive, expensive but blazing fast, even in the SSD world - only if your mobo can handle it of course!

intel makes an 80Gig drive that ought to work

i decided to go with the kingston, it has a faster read speed and more space. im installing now, il post the results in a couple hours.
