  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Authenticity. 1000x better than CGI

Crazy.....
I love it

Well I simply assumed it was CGI when I first watched it and thought to myself. OMFG this is some of the best CGI I've ever seen. The making of totally made me realize that all my pre conceptions were wrong, wrong WRONG, and really made me appreciate the commercial that much more. (I think that's y they made the "making of")

I'm a huge fan of authenticity, and it just makes me realize more how bombarded we all are with CGI and green screen. Seeing something so beautiful and real makes it that much cooler in my book.

It's really quite funny, back in the day CGI and greenscreening was the wonder, now we are back to "real" as something that astounds us.

Thanks for the link Tom..

great work that they have done, but mostly I applaud the idea and the money put in to the right place.. ORIGINALITY!!

This is what I always try to explain when presenting a project, it is important to be the first at presenting something, and it is equally important to do it well.

Been original can cost more, and it is always an experiment on how it would be perceived, but IMO a risk always worth taking.

Cool video.

In my opinion, CGI is most important for removing the danger from filmmaking, as in car crashes or exploding buildings where Stunt Men & Crew could be killed or permanently injured.

true, until we start getting robots to do it... oil powered robots...

Physical objects trumps CGI every day. No CGI technique can replicate the lighting, the texture, not to mention the physical interaction of a touchable object with actors. And how many times has an accident happened on set and you go "wait... that looked kinda awesome.... lets roll on that". The fact that CGI must be planned and executed the way it is, kinda ruins the spontaneity of the film set.

As one of my friends stated: "Avatar was the best looking cartoon Ive ever seen".
