So I got one hell of a deal from Red just yesterday. I was reading some of the posts and I came across one that spoke about "field tested" Red cameras that are sold directly from Red. So just for s**** and giggles I got on Red's chat. I asked if they had any field tested Monstros because sure as hell would I not be able to fork over money for a new one. The fella had Dan at Red call me and I was completely blown away from what he told me on the phone. They had a few for $24k a piece that are practically brand new with just a few hundred hours that were used on a set for some shots. Wow! I'm no expert on cinema cams, but from what I have seen recently in my research that is a pretty damn good deal. Just thought I would share with the group. This is my first cinema cam and I am super excited to get my hands on it.

Yes many big dealers are selling the (matrix4) Monstros at 24K. Even B&H was selling at that price.

Congratulations David. Seen a few battle tested deals lately and have been considering adding another Monstro to my kit.

I assure you that you have something very, very special in your hands.

Damn! Nice choice for your first camera! It's going to be difficult to shoot soon on another cam after Monstro.

I agree. I almost went gemini, but there is obviously something very special about the monstro. Can't wait to get it!
