Well, I just received a response to my query through a message on the RED website ... everything seems to work except there is no chat box, but they respond in less than 24 hours. seem right!

That's good news! You're two days ahead of me, so I'm hoping that I'll be getting one of those e-mails soon too!!!

B&H switched the status of my battery order to in progress... for 3 -- the last one is still backordered. But three batteries is easily enough to get going... with the camera I don't have yet. Sigh... the waiting continues, but at least the one last piece I need to enable me to operate in the field and try out the 1600mm lens setup will be here soon.

    Almost there!

Batteries + body and I'm up and running with my compact trekker kit :)

Oh, and for film production too. For some reason, that seems like a good use for a cinema camera. ;)
