  1. #1 Is the Bomb EVF (LCOS) supposed to be a flickering mess?
I just bought a used LCOS Bomb EVF here on REDUser. Bottom line: It's a flickering mess. . . so much so that I'm afraid it's going to give me a seizure (and I'm not kidding). I compared this EVF with my original RED One EVF, and there is NO flicker unless panning.

Is there some flicker free setting I'm not seeing? (The camera is set for Brain EVF.)

    Thanks.

Come on, guys. . . 96 people have seen this post, and no one knows about this flickering issue? That's astonishing!

Any and all help is most appreciated.

Have you tried to change the Hertz setting to 60 maybe?

Is it a rainbow flicker? I wasn't able to use the LCOS Bomb because of it. Apparently it's only problem that a small percentage of people are susceptible to: http://www.reduser.net/forum/showthr...d-Review/page2

    Thanks for writing guys.

I don't see any rainbows that I can remember. . . it's just a strobing, strobing, strobing sort of thing. I will check it out again, though.

On my Scarlet, the ONLY setting I can see is 59.X (I've forgotten what X is). I see no settings for "open gate" or anything like it that exists on the RED One.

Oh, and my RED One EVF works perfectly with my Scarlet.

    Thanks for chiming in.

I haven't used the viewfinder you have in a while, but I've never been happy with them, Which is why I don't own one
