Default AVID RED CAM HD Cam Dailies

I am starting a workflow edit, we are shooting on RED and loading into the Avid on HD CAM. How can I create an ALE from the Raw RED files that will allow me to batch dig from the HD CAM tapes and maintain all Metadata for a DI finish?

Who is making the HDCam tapes, and how? And do the tapes carry continuous time code, or the time of day code from the R3d files?

Mike is correct - someone is managing the HDCAM timecode - if using Scratch, you can use the Scratch XML to ALE XSL file available on www.avid.com/red look to the third party tab.

Scratch will produce an ALE file all by itself, although using Avid's XSL file might get you a bit more of the metadata.
