Default PL lenses on a Nikon battery

I use my D40 often when scouting locations and testing lighting setups before a shoot to get an idea how a scene will look. What I'd really like is to find a way to use PL lenses on my Nikon body. Do anyone know anything about attempting this? I know there are plenty of options for going the other way, I can't imagine it would be much more difficult to do this.

Hi,

Its virtually impossible, why dont you use the Nikon lenses? The focal lengths will be identical, I do it all the time with an old D70.

It can be done on Leica rangefinder cameras.

Panavision has a few Nikon F2 bodies with PV mounts. It's a pretty tough redesign/build of the front end of the camera though. Good luck.

Hi,

PV is much easier as the FDD is longer, there is no issue with the mirror hitting the back of the lenses. PL is not a new mount it's been around a fair amount of time, if it could be done somebody would have done it!
