RED ONE MX weighs almost half of an Alexa.. and Epic weighs almost a quarter. And since we are talking current available cameras, you need to add a tethered deck to that Alexa to record something.

How much does a codex or ob1 weigh to record raw on alexa?

Codex is quoted at 5.7lbs or 2.5kg. I tried to weigh a CF card but it just said 0.0.

I think VFX, not aquisition resolution will be the reason for things sticking around in 2k.

It is strange to me that the mattes have become more and more visible over time. Watching "IV - A New Hope" nowadays, I'm continually distracted by the jagged boxes surrounding and following the tie-fighters as they fly. It is so obvious that I *know* it wasn't perceptible before, but now it's hideously annoying. I wonder why, though?
