Was just foolin along with you; the 28k doesn't do any of the stuff you mentioned.
But the number makes it sound like they're already way past that idea.

Though I wouldn't be surprised if they did surpass the stats you mentioned in 10 years given their speed...

I dont speak for RED, but this pretty much IS Stage 2. Where you keep the RED ONE (and could upgrade sensor later).

You are still keeping your R1 and just upgrading the sensor BEFORE EPIC ships rather than after it appears...

Unless Im missing something here.

That's only 20 stops

26 stops requires 64 times higher contrast ratio. There are no lenses that could transmit that sort of contrast.

I am totally blown a way by the image and even more impressed that it was shot at T8....incredible. My RED is already there if you need a test camera!! Feel free to "gut" it!!

Looks great, really enjoyed examining the footage a bit in Nuke. Great stuff.
