My Epic does this to me at 4000 ISO/Tungsten

I really expected to have to trash it after reading abot the effects of the pricechange, but I guess I'll just hang on to it for a little longer...

This test is flawed. You should have shot the same model on the same lens before the price change. I expected better from you, Gunleik.

    Hm...

Like last year when the uproar in the Scarlet camp was at its worst, I really think rational stuff is out of the loop, so I'll just shoot a bit to find out really how worthless these cams have become...

    Thanks for the picture Gunleik

    Matin,

Should't you make a new thread section:

    Money talk

It would make some clean up as for the last days there was a lot of "money talk"

Or just move all the "my Epic is now worthless!" threads into the complaints subforum, perhaps... it was nice to have the Epic subforum full of threads about using the Epic.

    Currently working withthe Canonmount...
Must say that working with stills optics is quite a different experience....

But I have decided not to give up on it, just yet...

Would love to get back to discuss solutions and potential iin and with the cameras.
The only thing that will enhance perceived value over time, is imagery.
Personally I probably will not be able to afford the Dragon Upgrade, so my mission is to do the most out of what I have.

And to me, the Epic is kinda useable, even it its current shape....

I don't know about all you out there but ever since the price drop my Epic refuses to shoot anything above 2K.

    Hi,

The price drop is only on the body guys...all other stuff is still expensive...but what happens to the hundreds of EPICs delivered after the price drop and NO FILM LENSES to shoot with..
unless RED have something up their sleeve on Lens front...what I feel is RED is increasing their EPIC base and then launch the DRAGON...and I think SCARLET will die a natural death..

    +1 for lenses.

For me it would be great to have a "5k grade lens" with Nikon Mount 24-70 2.6 with Autofocus abilities (silent smooth motor) and the best manual focus experience for a photographic lens with minimum 90 degree rotation between Inf-1m.

    Please Santa Claus!

    Pat

PS: I think RED could build lens wich is not necesserly with a PL mount.
