Filming in Kazakhstan?

Hi folks

We have a trip to Kazakhstan coming up and I'm looking for advice from anyone who's filmed there - any RED users in Kazakhstan, especially in Almaty?

In particular I'm looking for information on filming permits and how best to get our camera equipment in and out of the country.

I shot there last year, not on Red though. I carried in cameras, lenses, tripod, but had a local film production company help us out with additional lighting gear and permits, being a former Soviet state they love permits. I'll dig out their details tomorrow and PM you.
