Welcome to my film journal :(
I totally sympathize. On our last short, the grip truck broke down on the highway 300 miles away. Our B Cam Op and Makeup Artist got bumped off their connecting flight. FedEx couldn't find her makeup kit for a couple days. Our caterer had our booking off by one month. The police car we rented had a dead battery, no wipers, burned oil like a fiend and needed starter fluid to get going in the morning AND we had no trailer for the motorcycle scene or location for the classroom scene until the day of shooting.
Phew. Sometimes it's hard to believe we actually got the damn thing shot.
I dig Alex's work, we've secured a script of his for a short we're going to produce in December and I'm really looking forward to that!
While I can't backup his whole production, I've volunteered my DP services, Epic, Cookes, lighting and grip. They're still short a Director and lots of production crew, tho. What would really save him is for a real production company to take up the gauntlet and produce this. New York area, late Oct - early Nov, that about right, Alex?

Alex! Where do yo get a Husky that size!
I love Husky's but they get too big for my liking/living.
Filmmaking is a heartbreaking and often thankless endeavor. Keep the faith, Alex! As committed as you are to this project, I'm sure it'll get there.
btw, Harrison's Closet is shooting next month!
