Hopefully it will be better than Final Cut Pro X.

Actually, I hope it is as forward-thinking in its design as FCP-X is.

Ha ha Terry. I was thinking the same thing but didn't want to get flamed for saying so.

As long as it has the "auto" button and it is optimized for use on an ipad im sure it will be just fabulous.

Lightroom and photoshop own this space for a reason.

Spoken like a true, die hard Adobe fan, Matt! I know how disruptive Apple can be to some folks.

(I actually like Aperture quite a bit.)

All I want from Apple is a new souped up tower, Nvidia/CUDA support for their non-towers, and the ability to native R3D natively. And cheaper Thunderbolt cables.

That description sounds like it's targeted at home users and hobbyists, making it competition for Photoshop Elements (not Photoshop) at best.

Apple is slowing moving towards becoming a consumer driven tech company...its pro days are more and more a thing of the past.

Hate to say it but you might be right. They have promised something for next year but if it doesn't deliver could be the final nail. And I've been a die hard Apple guy for over 20 years now! Will be a very sad day if it happens.

Still hoping for Apple to come through!
