    Hello,

I have noticed the renders out of RedCine-X are just a bit "softer" than when I ingest the R3D media directly in FCP 7. Often, I think FCP makes the image a little harsh, but sometimes I want the extra crispness.

I'm using 4K HD files and rendering 1080 at Full Debayer setting to ProRes HQ. Is there a setting in RedCine - X I'm not using?

    Thanks.

You could always turn on the unsharp mask but that will slow your transcode times.

Full software Debayer requires more aggressive sharpening. You can also try 1/2 premium with little to no sharpening required.

Thanks. Both methods adds sharpness. I figured it was me. Dropping to half premium plus adding just a bit of sharpness seems to be the right solution for my needs.

You can also try different sharpness settings under Software Scaling:
