    Hi!

I'm the creator of DaVinci-Resolve-Keyboard-Cheapest-control-surface that many of you have used and I want to thank you first because it's what keep me to continue scripting for Resolve.

So, Resolve 9 is out and my Keyboard isn't compatible anymore.

Good, let's script it again from scratch!

It's faster, lighter and more functional.
It is easier configurable then the previous build and I'm still here to support you via email.

Today is in a early alpha version with half functions well scripted. Soon will be on your Macs.

Will be FREE for who bought it before today (12/08/12).
Since it is completely rewritten from 0 will be a bit different price. Not decided yet, but will be around the same price range.

It's called Affordable instead of "cheap" because it's different, really different.
It's so affordable that supports Log grading without be priced 29.000$

At this time the selling solution is the same... Payment via PayPal and I'll email you the script with the PDF guide. You just have to map it.
But I'm also considering a local "authorized" seller for each big world area. A sort of distributor.
He will receive my updated scripts via email and a generical keyboard configuration. He have to map a specific model of keyboard easy to be found for him, print and paste the stickers, put it again in the box and send it to the client. He will certainly receive a percentage for each keyboard sold.
I'm planning to fully support some keyboards like the cheapest on Amazon.
If you're intrested email me in these days, I'll take note of your address and I'll contact you when is the moment.

    Stay tuned ;)
    Ros

You tell me thath for the rMBP you will need to make an special vertion because the resolution.

but the retina has only 1920x1200 and you already suport that resolution i think.

I did "hack" my rMBP and for resolv I use 2560x1600, whit that hack you can use the full resolution 2880, but its not nesesari for 1920x1080 projects.

Maby you think that rMBP is a 2880x1800, but its not exactly. what Apple did ys double the resolution whuen using at 1440x900, and the maximun you can choose from System Preferences is 1920x1200.

so if you relese the scrept for resolve 9 for 1920x1200 it will be Ok for retina 1920x1200

I hope that will be this way =)
I'm not sure how Controllermate interprets the new resolution, if it's associated at the real pixels or take count of the higher dpi.
In this case, yes, there will be just a version of the script.
I'm continuing scripting right now. Tomorrow I'll take a look at the Blackmagic panel to copy the layout of the knobs/pot for each mode and have the same layout on my keyboard ;)

    Huge improvements are coming!

    ok i understan.

so if controlermate ger the maximun DPI for MBPr users will hace to instal a hack to alow using the maximun dpi, as I said, apple only let you chos 1920x1200 as the maximum.

I hope you finish soon the new vertion.

and if you whanto to trie the MBPr, after you finish all the seting if is not dificult, you can send me the scrip just whit one buton active so I try and tell you if it work or not. some think like a DEMO version.

also, I have an idea, do not now if you are or not interest on it but let me tel you about.

I do not need or use Davinci for a hard color grade, just to make dailies on set or to chek som speecific shoot whit my DoP.
can you make some think like a LITE (not free) version? not that expensiv (I now, 95USD its very cheep for the seep users will increase using Resolve) and only whit basic options.
I whish have only the 3 way color correction, ahd hi med an low light. that can be don in like a nuemric keyboard.

    Hi!

    Your idea is great!!
I'll release it at the same time with only the 3 way colorcorrector that you can map directly on your apple keyboard.
I decided that this will be free!
If you want more features you shuld buy the full version, but the "lite" will be enough for basic grade or for testing/demo purpose.

    Byez!
