Hi all you fabulous RED enthusiasts and filmmakers, its been over a year since we received our cameras, we have done a tonne of projects, have 3 Epic and a Scarlet... But this is all pale in comparison to the beautiful work the cameras have show us. This project went live one week ago on Facebook, it only showed screen grabs, a bit about the story and a BTS video. We have reached over 125k people, our page is going crazy with stats we have never seen before, the figures from around the world is remarkable.

This camera is a true testament to those filmmakers out there that believe in what they do and don't allow any obstacles to get in their way. We made this film after work, middle of the night, over weekends and whenever we had a spare moment or a chance to get more scenes. We got the lead to loose 5kgs quickly to ensure the transformation over the nine days was accurate.

The Behind The Scenes clips on FB shows the limited light we had, the glass we used, the simple heads and legs. Next time, before I take four cameras and a two lights I should consider taking 4 lights and 2 cameras (Thanks Riki Butland for the words of wisdom). You will see we were stopping down in most cases, we had 1.4 and 1.2 glass in the hopes of getting out of trouble but that spectacular sensor on the Epic just admired every shot we put in front of it. Be warned there is a bit of swearing in the Behind the Scenes video on FB.

We figured a 3 man team was good enough, make-up piggy backed off other productions. Producers spent hours crafting our shooting schedule and the editors at Muddville Post and Production jumped on board and began cutting away (check out their showreel if you are interested in the Middle East. The actress has made this film so unbelievably beautiful.

LIKE our page NINE DAYS TO FALL, we are looking for support to prove to our distributors locally here we can make spectacular films with low budgets with the sheer determination of the young filmmakers here. Dubai has the most stunning backdrop, great locations and when the film is cut and ready for festivals see how stunning this part of the world is.

To the guys at RED, thanks for making a machine that makes people dreams come true...

The Zeiss ZF glass is really showing its versatility here in low light conditions with small setups. Epic is king when it comes to capturing cinematic images in a small and lightweight, portable setup.
