FOR SALE- Ultimate Leica R Lens Set.
These are my personal lenses, all were hand picked. These were never rented and used only by myself mostly on still cameras.

They have not been cinevised for a variety of reasons, but mostly because I am a collector and didn’t want my lenses damaged and I was also holding out hope that Leica would introduce a new camera to support these lenses.
The only modifications are the Leitax Canon Mount, which was installed on top of the existing Leica R Mount. I retained all the original screws for each lens in individual bags labeled for each lens so that the lenses can be restored to full Leica R originality.

Not only was each lens hand picked and inspected, but I selected the best Leica lens at each focal length. In the case of R lenses, the year of manufacture can make a big difference in the design and ultimate look of the lens. For example the Leica 50mm Summilux has at least three variations, but the latest made from 1997 onward is the most desirable and looks significantly better than any of the other versions. But less than 2700 of these lenses were produced, making them extremely hard to find.

    The collection:
    Leica 19mm f2.8 Elmarit-R II sn 3902XXX – Manufactured 2000 (< 5900 produced)
    Leica 24mm f2.8 Elmarit-R sn 3836XXX- 1998
    Leica 28mm f2.8 Elmarit-R II sn 3701XXX- 1995 (<3200 produced)
    Leica 35mm f1.4 Summilux-R sn 3946XXX- 2002 (<6400 produced)
    Leica 50mm f1.4 Summilux-R II sn 3939XXX- 2002 (<2700 produced)
    Leica 60mm f2.8 Macro-Elmarit-R sn 3783XXX- 1997
    Leica 80mm f1.4 Summilux-R sn 32018XXX- 2000
    Leica 100mm f2.8 APO-Macro-Elmarit-R sn- 3697XXX- 1995
    Leica 35-70mm f4 Vario-Elmar-R sn-3834XXX- 1998 (<8500 produced)

I will only sell these as a set, so please don’t ask for individual lenses.

    Hey Greg,

Gee, you could have saved me 4 months of work here. I just collected the same set plus... the 90mm Summicron ASPH, 35-70 2.8 and a 70-180 APO 2.8. Just got a 280mm 2.8 and a 15mm ASPH. It's addicting, but adding up!

How does your f4 35-70 compare to the f2.8 you sold?

    Very nice looking 35mm BTW.

I'm very interested in a few if you ever change your mind about not breaking up the set

Hey Greg, thought you might like to know that the new Leica M has an R -> M adapter coming with electronic interface. Pretty tasty.
