Hey all - sorry for the noob question but this is the first time I've tried mastering in 4K in premiere. I noticed that the 4K preset is 4096x2048 yet my footage is 4096x2160. Any ideas why this is? What is the correct res for mastering 4K for 2:40 presentation?

    Cheers.

Make your own preset, it's super easy. That's the awesome thing about premiere is that the frame size will conform to whatever size you want...

DCI Digital Cinema packages come in three sizes for 4K.

    Full projection 4K is 4096x2160 (1.9 ratio) however, it's to accommodate two other DCI native ratios, 1.85 at 3996 × 2160 and 2.39 at 4096 × 1716

I've never delivered anything at full 1.9 ratio, so I don't know if it's an acceptable display size. You may leave that question for a mastering house that prepares DCP.
