I upgraded to build 15 from build 14 today and red cine will no longer let me send the video to my second monitor. If i click the option to do so, it just shoves the video somewhere else on my main monitor and it cannot be moved to my second.

I installed the beta for 16 hoping it would solve this problem, but it still persists. Any advice?

    Hi Nick,

There appears to be an initialization issue with some systems I'm looking into. But the fix is to go to your general preferences and physically select a monitor on the "second monitor" option even if you aren't changing the value.
Hit OK and then second monitor should work.

    Thanks,
    David

I had this same issue with build 15 today, I can confirm what David said works.

My problem is it will NOT KEEP the 2nd monitor Prefs selection btw uses.

I have 3 monitors, the 3rd being my Grading monitor (#2 of 2 "other" monitors avai in the RCX Prefs). I can _manually_ assign this when I load a project. It appears as "2" of the 2 monitors I can select in Preferences. But even on a "saved" project, RCX always boots the viewer to the 2nd monitor to # "1" (non-grading) monitor in Prefs, and I have to re-assign. No way to save my personal settings??

    Hi Stu,

Thanks for the info. Application preferences aren't saved with your project, but in a distinct location. I wouldn't worry about what the prefs are showing here, thats the bug. As long as it keeps going to the correct monitor when you enable second monitor.

I'm having the same problem, except that in my case the second monitor doesn't even show up in the preferences... what's up?

This has been driving me crazy too. Not just on a single system. Verified bug on 2x Mac Pros with different video cards (Quadro 4000 and GT120) and my Retina MBP 15", and MBP 17". I'll have to try that workaround when I get a chance.
