Can someone with Elements panel verify, that the fourth trackball on Elements panel works correctly in Log mode? If it is, it may be the perfect reason, at least for me, to move over to Elements. I just hate to spend $3500 just to be able to use the Log grading, where a simple panel re-mapping would do...

I'm quite sure it does not. None of the other mappings seem to have changed from the set available in 8.2.

I'm willing and anxious to be proven wrong, though.

Are there any changes to HDRX support? In 8, it seems that to use HDRX you add the HDRX track as a second source and also add a layer mixer node to blend the normal and HDRX tracks. Perhaps that is good enough, I'm not sure.

    Thanks all.

I'm puzzled, as I can't imagine, that the company would release a major feature, that is only usable to, what, may be .1% of users, that are in possession of BM panel.
I'm not complaining, because at this price BM can pretty much do anything they like. I'm just puzzled...

I can verify that "Shadow", "Midtones" and "Highlights" are all mapped and work on the element panel just fine but "Offset" does not map to the fourth trackball yet. As of now the fourth trackball is useless in Resolve. But, I've been on the Beta for over a month and updates come pretty fast, and none of the LOG controls were working at all up until yesterdays build before release so give it time, i'm sure it will happen soon. Also, it would be nice to have the "Contrast" and "Low Range" "High Range" mappable to one of the "Primary Knobs" since there are so many empty knobs not doing anything currently. I think once the Element has most of the functions mapped properly to it you will feel like its a really worthy upgrade. Even without the functionality i wish it had mentioned above I'm still using it day in and day out and love it.

Let's give it a try. I always believed that some version of the 9.0 would get released in July, even if on the 31st. Thanks BMD.
