Anyone else noticing lower frame rates from v9? I have a Wrangler with dual E2600 Xeon's, dual Quadro 4000's, Red Rocket and SSD RAID but 3 nodes causes 5K to drop below real time.

Hey- is there a proper forum somewhere for this public beta? A place to post questions about operation differences?

I work with documentary/verité footage a lot - consequently I'm constantly sliding the soft clip up and down- but they don't seem linked, even when the 'gang clips' is checked. Is this a bug in the beta, or is there somewhere else I need to set this?

Another operation question - the mark functions for dynamics are greyed out - how do I enable those? I can set dynamic keyframes using right-mouse-click in the keyframe window, but the keyboard shortcuts are greyed out.

Yes, the soft clip is definitely funky in a number of ways - jumps to 100% and cannot be reset - stuff like that. Probably not used much by RED users - but important for lower-quality cameras.

You can still change the whole project by accessing the RAW camera tab in the new settings page. Hit the gear icon bottom left of the GUI to get to the settings page.
I love the new RAW camera palette, especially as the picture changes to reflect your new settings.

My first impression: "It's very similar to final cut pro X (actually I started to like also fcpx) but after a day of work I think it's an incredible update. The edit is much easier, the alpha channel, audio, delivery....
I'm on snow leopard and it works fine and I can render epic 5k files with HDRX on 2k scope project at 16 bit. With version 8 I couldn't render at full premium 16 bit, now I can :)
