Might be obvious to some, but I'm perplexed as to how the continuity in audio was achieved in these interviews. One example

The lighting dramatically changes on every cut, but even though the cuts sometimes happen mid sentence, the audio transition is seamless.
What makes it puzzling to me is that the dialogue seems unscripted, though I doubt that it is. Are the people being interviewed reading off some sort of teleprompter so that their dialogue matches exactly on subsequent takes, or??

Two camera shoot, with the CU shot's white bg removed in After Effects perhaps...? Not sure tho.

Given the camera angles they could have just had a black background off to the side, which would be the only thing that camera would see.

My guess is it was shot as one, either keyed or using two backdrops in different positions.

In other words, no audio editing at all ironically enough given your questions was about audio and the subject matter is audio!

Might be obvious to some, but I'm perplexed....

You're looking for complexity where there is none. This is a very simple two camera set-up with a white paper backdrop. The lighting is EXACTLY the same between the two cameras, though the 'B' camera looks poorly underexposed to me. What creates the drama is that in the main camera you can see the white backdrop whist the 'B' camera is shooting off he side into darkness. No secret sauce here.

Liam is spot-on, and at 4:24 there is an angle that shows the white backdrop and the black background where they meet.
