Thanks Sean.. you don't have it yet, we have just put in a ticket. All the other RED MOTES we own are working fine. its just that sucker that came back with the "M" and after the "M" upgrade. it's crossed the pacific ocean 6 times now... anyway, she will be coming back for one last time I hope. (do me a favor, just swap it out with a new one.... it might be a NBL payoffs version. :)))

Got a question regarding connectivity of RedMote with Camera in wireless mode.

When we try to connect redmote with EPIC in Jimmy Jib we loose connection very often and want to know how far is Redmote work effectively in real field condition which we are not often unable to use it. Is there any version of Redmote which only works better than others like chips or circuit board upgrade required?

The post is based on various real time epic users from India who were unable to use it to full potential.

I'm not the OP, but...

I have had the antenna upgrade. Which has made some improvement.
But only insofar as to increase the range from 2 foot to 5 foot.
If it was tidier here, I would shoot a quick vid to show the problem :-)

Is there any way to control playback via the redmote?

I was thinking about this the other day, our Epic was on a crane, over some water. one could assign buttons A-D for playback I suppose.

I was also curious about the advanced options to be able to type in a specific value while in "local" mode on the Redmote. Normally pushing up on the scroll wheel (if on the SH) doesn't work on the redmote.
