I'm currently in the market for a slider, preferably with a motorized option. Does anyone have any field experience with the Trolley system from Camera Turret? On paper it looks like the perfect system to me. Extendable track in 3' sections, with motorized head options too. It just seems suspiciously cheap to me, and I can't find any real reviews of it.

You're right, it looks interesting. Not so cheap as to be TGTBT but definitely competitive. They make good stuff. I have one of their PT20 motorized heads; works great.

If I were you I would opt for the Shuttle Pod from Kessler Crane. Much better motors and controller, and their head uses two speed of motor in unison for each axis which gives you both smooth slow and very fast on the same head. About the same price.

Thanks for the heads up, haven't checked out that unit before. How is it just as a push slider? Can you adjust how much friction there is on the track? It seems like a great motorized option.

Does anyone have any more feedback on the Shuttle Pod? I'm very close to pulling the trigger on it but have found surprisingly few reviews online.

In general, I love Kessler equipment. I bought a V3 Crane/dolly system used, and it's excellent. It came with an "older" PT20 motorized head which also works well. That's what got me interested in this Camera Turret slider - I could use my current head to create a motorized slider option. I have also been looking at the Shuttle Pod; was close to purchasing but I think I'd have to invest in all the newer Kessler motors, etc, to go motorized.

Bottom line - if I didn't already have some of these parts, and wanted to go with a system that I could use now "by hand" and motorize later, I'd jump on the Kessler K-Pod. I love the way it is modular and you can keep expanding its capabilities.
