Ive no connection with the company and this isn't an advertisement but these LEDs look really nice. 91CRI, no green spike no PMM. 38W each for 1000W tungsten equivalent

The really nice thing is you have control from iPhone to auto calibrate the CCT which sets the light to CT needed. You can then set all lights from your phone controller.

Made in the UK which is great news.

If there is no green spike, why does the kit come with ½, ¼, & 1/8 minus green gels? While it intuitively makes sense that you can achieve a nominally correct intermediate color balance by balancing the output of 3200K & 5500K LED diodes, this approach is going to require green/magenta correction – which is why the kit comes with an assortment of minus green gels.

And, since one of the deficiencies of White Phosphor LEDs, like the ones used in this fixture, is that they don’t emit frequencies above a 625nm cut-off, blending 3200 and 5500 White Phosphor LEDs is not going to correct the deficiency of long wavelength colors which are so critical to rendering a good flesh tone, which is why the kit also includes a cosmetic peach gel as well. The gels included in the kit for this light demonstrates just how meaningless high CRI numbers are when it comes to photography (CRI was developed for merchandize display not photography.) A CRI of 91 can’t mean much when you need cosmetic peach and minus green gels to get decent color rendering on screen. Don’t buy into all the hype surrounding LEDs. As the gel pack for this light indicates, their color output is pretty poor (use this link for details.)

I saw it at NAB but none of the LED lights have convinced me to switch over. The only one that came close were the MOLE Richardson ones, but the output is a little low. I'm always falling back to kinos... Still great price for performance.

Id be interested in any reviews of it or LED's generally. To a large extent light quality is all to us. The reports are the Anova is easy to decontrol and has no flicker or green spike. I too would like to know for sure but Im only asking questions at the moment as LED's have always not be up to par in the past. We have asked for a pair of Anovas to arrive here and will report back, a DoP colleague has used it and reports it to be very good.
