Reducation in chennai was a great learning experience. At first I was sceptical to enroll myself but it was very informative and I think every red owner/Technician should go through the experiance.Ted you are a good orator and made the learning fun and enjoyable....

I'm thinking that movie-makers from Old Europe may not be able to adapt easily to new things while more adventurous types throughout the world do not have traditions burned into their thinking, and can judge on basis of merit and cost. Of course, there are a number of Europeans who do get it and show up regularly here on REDuser.

I only point this out to celebrate that I've chosen the fresh thinking approach that the Epic and Scarlet bring to the equipment side of movie-making.

    Ummm....."Old Europe"..."MUCH older India!".

They provided a giant preview theater with a Huge screen for us to teach the class and show EPIC and Scarlet footage on, and each day served gourmet Indian food to everyone. It was a fantastic experience.

L.V.Prasad Group and Prasad Film Academy gave me really good memories last couple of years. They are really nice and generous and have wonderful people to work with. Also I enjoyed lovely gourmet south indian food!
As you mentioned, it was a very strange but wonderful experience watching "Three Idiots" in Chennai with Indian audiences and they knew every song in the movie with lots of cheers and screams. No wonder why India produces more movies than any other countries.

I had the pleasure of working with an Indian crew in Kota Kinabalu a couple of months ago. They were great to work with: very fast, very efficient, very professional, very personable. And the AC, Shamsher Singh Rajwar, was amazing, pulling perfect focus without even looking at the monitor. In open water.
