Been using Premiere since before it was fashionable, back to Premiere 5, so no hate here please. But I've noticed CS6 has glitches when working with mp4 files, both from several Sony XDCAM cameras as well as GoPros. I had used CS6 exclusively with RED footage but last week I started mixing in files from other cameras and have horrible tearing, posterization, and all kinds of artifacts on mp4 files. And yes, they even showed on export, so I had to resort to converting to Cineform and work with that, which is so Apple way of doing things. I forgot how not fun transcoding is when you have hundreds of ifles, so what's with this Adobe? It is not, by the way, an isolated incident, many others have reported the same problems on the forum here:
but no solutions offered so far, except to blame the graphics card and what not, which is not the culprit obviously. Please Adobe, take a look at this, none of the earlier versions ever had any problem sailing through any files, and Premiere is not used just to edit RED footage.
