RED CF Card ?

I upgraded my RED to Epic and was left with a few 16GB CF Cards. I am not sure what they are worth on the "RED Stuff For Sale" Forum but before I sell them I would like to know if they work with other cameras, like a 5D?

i have heard through these forums that they are not optimal for other cameras , 5d , still ect .
i really do not underrstand why .
but i have 2 red mx's . one is a cf module :( , but i buy cf cards from 100 each for 16 to just recently 150 or 2 16s and a 8's with a case .
so it varies . so50 to 100 for 16s regularly . they sell same day for 50 each though . ebay , a guy was selling 2 16s for best offer for about 2 months
i was rejected at 200 for both , and i think they finally just sold for 300 for both ..

Here is some insight from another post by the all-knowing Mr. Kilgroe ;-)

The RED 16GB CF cards work in very few devices. They have very specific firmware that only allows the card to communicate in 32bit UDMA mode and at certain block sizes. Most of your good readers will read them, but DLSRs or other media devices that need to write seem to have trouble.

i should have known , 60 percent or more of what i think i know about reds , come from reading his posts.
ive often thought to myself , i really hope this guy isnt just a clever to pen maniac , since im taking stock in anything he says

16GB CF cards are still available in the Red online store @ $300 per card if you want to buy some and I suggest you don't buy someone else's used cards as they are not guaranteed to be working for very long and you might find yourself in a bind.

I have used the 16gb cards for my Nanoflash and 1Ds/5DII/7D with no problems, then put them back into the MX. They have always worked well but you do need to format each time for them to work. Also, they are pretty fast cards. Don't know why you would have any trouble.
