Compared to audio quality of other similar priced shotguns(Rode Sennheiser, etc)

If you're talking about Tinymic at under $500 which I bought and returned, you will still have to use a phantom powered unit and a special adapter cable (separate order). Don't get confused by their ad and buy it like I did; it will not draw power from a Red. They really should have thrown in a small battery powered unit and some velcro but NO! I still think Tinymic has the potential to be a great Red mic for run and gun.
