Love the look of this, and since they also made it compatible with our transmitter I can't help but be stoked.

I personally know Dale and Wes, and I'm really proud of their work. The DP7 looks incredible and I can't wait to purchase one... now to decide on OLED or Hi-Brightness... I think I'll be going with the HB for steadicam work, and use my DP6 for indoor stuff not requiring daylight-viewable-ness. Gawd the DP7 sure is gorgeous.

Placed my pre order yesterday, looks incredible indeed. I really like the croos convert functions and that it will also work as a video assist, that makes it worth the money, although it's still quite expensive...

Wow - I've been planning on an an extra monitor and hadn't really looked into the DP7.

But, loving it's features and cross conversion - plus the abilty for LUT's downstream.

    Really nice.

Now - what was the $ to £ conversion rate today...

    I'm really hoping they release a DP7 "non-pro"

Adding waveform this and transmitter that and charging an absurd premium for it is TVLogic's job. SmallHD is supposed to be the people's monitor.

Give me an OLED screen, an HDMI port, and a battery, for $1800. $2000 for the HD-SDI version. Basically an OLED / larger DP6.

Edit : Oh God, I just saw they've now also added onboard recording and are no longer showing the previously-announced already-too-high price of $2700. Seriously, when did TVLogic buy SmallHD?!?!

I think if you look at the prices of good monitors with all the extras you gut with the smallhd, you cant compare. The price is quite a deal. If all your looking to record is a proxy file. Youve just cut out buying a samurai or ki pro mini or pix.
Cross convertor. Another 8 hundred bucks and another little box hanging off your rig. One monitor doing it all is kinda awesome.

Agree, can't wait to put the Arrow together with the Oled 7. Dale, Wes and all at SmallHD are one of the most supportive and engaged with their clients companies in our industry. wish them every success and can't wait to see how the Arrow will hook up with the DP7's X port and combined with the SD card onboard rec/ playback its a cracker

Holy Shit! This looks like a marriage made in heaven. What an incredible solution for a whole lot of problems. I can't wait to get my hands on this combo. If it does what is advertised, it will make my life a lot easier on set and for a fair price too. What codec will it use to record to that SD card I wonder? Good luck to Dan and folks at Small HD!

    Yeah, that's a forklift tattoo. I wasn't always a cinematographer :)

Now all we need is Look Labs to make their LUT's compatible with the DP7 and were set.
