In the short five years I've owned RED cameras, I can attest to the following:

1. It is the best camera system I've ever owned.
2. It's not perfect, but it's close.
3. The customer service so far is the best of any company in any industry I've experienced.
4. The customer service is not perfect, but it's very close.
5. The images are the best I've seen from any camera system.
6. The company is the most transparent I've ever seen. They continue to take the good with the bad right out in the open on a forum where anyone with decorum may post.
7. The talent behind the company is second-to-none.
8. The wide swath of talent that chooses to use the camera is some of the finest in the world. That speaks volumes to me. They would not trust their reputations to a fly-by-night outfit that sells junk. RED gets it. They understand the market.
9. I need a company that is committed to supporting their clients. RED does that better than any I've experienced.
10. RED LISTENS to me and my little company's needs. Remarkable.

1- my Red has done everything I have asked it to do, and more.
2- Red as a company has done that as well
3- there is absolutely no way you could give me another camera system and have me do some of my recent shoots as easily and with that small a crew, budget, and turnaround time and get equally good results.

i was recently at a film fest in Atlanta and Tyler Perry's brother screened a film he was working on, and someone asked what it was shot on, he then said does anyone want to take a guess, and 4 or 5 people all said "Red?" (no other cameras were even mentioned) it's funny how quickly Red has become the defacto response.
