Prores audio question

Does anyone know if the different flavors of prores all handle audio the same or is audio on 422 better than as audio on lt or proxy?
I can't seem to fine audio specs on the codec and I am thinking of using my pix240 as a backup audio recorder but don't want to waste space recording 422 if proxy will give me the same quality audio.

In Quicktime Mov, audio is completely separate from video. The audio quality will be the same between all flavors of prores. If you want to reassure yourself you can check the audio quality in Quicktime Player by pressing CMD-I

That's kind of what I figured, didn't really think about just checking the properties :) I was looking every where for just the specs.
