    He was being considered to play the King in my ill-fated feature 'Of Gods and Kings'. Then it was Lee Majors, then finally settled on Bo Hopkins.

    I grew up watching Ernest in McHale's Navy. Sure would have been one hell of a plume de oro to have worked with him.

    Did you know his Mom was royalty?

    It's interesting to think that he played so many "common man" roles with blue blood in his veins!

    No, I had no idea. With that, I think he would have been stellar as the king. Not that Bo wouldn't as well. I have yet to see a single BTS or any footage, however.
