I saw this in 3.3.3. In 3.3.3, I also had artifacting after the camera was recording for over a few minutes. It's intermittent though. I've since rolled back to 3.2.19 and haven't yet experienced either issue but haven't tested enough yet to be confident that it's this new beta firmware. See http://reduser.net/forum/showthread....from-Scarlet-X for an example of the artifacting issue.

Would be nice to have a way to monitor what the X-track is actually recording though, a switch between X and A track (if this exists please let me know, because I haven't found it).

    Hello all.

Just want to add some observations to Red's radar. I know this is beta, so this is not a complaint.

Just my five cents re. 3.3.3 (on Scarlet #986) :

    - Spontaneous shutdown, happened 3 times today when going through menus
    - Loud noise on analogue (cam) sound input 2, plus a loud 'tick' each second - independent from any specific audio setting, apart from level
    - LCD does not always sync correctly and needs unplugging and rebooting of camera to get it working stutter-free on a 24fps project
    - Video playback works for about 6 seconds and then starts slowing/stuttering down to a full stop within another 5 seconds; tried formatting the SDD: this is with compression at 6. Tried recording several clips on several SDDs.

Apart from the issues mentioned above (which i hope will be taken aboard) this is a great build! So many superb new options and surprises. E.g. the wysiwyg masked frameguide with variable opacity is absolutely great stuff!

Just updated our EPIC from 3.2.13 to 3.2.19 (didn't try 3.2.16 as there were some discouraging user-reports online)… Update worked just fine via force_update - have to run some real-world tests the next few days but it looks good (recording works fine so far). Nice thing for me; the split-screen/white-screen issue where I had do un/re-plug the LCD cable seem to be fixed - at least it didn't appear again for a few boot-ups now (this was quite bad with 3.2.13 - like on every 2nd or 3rd boot).

Just had a 4 day shoot running firmware 3.3 and had a few issues with my Scarlet.

    - Sometimes playback would only show red color channel both on the image and on the histogram. This happened after changing to previous clip when in playback mode. And after it had happened it only seemed to be corrected by rebooting the camera, toggling between preview and playback didn't help (preview worked fine, playback kept showing only the red channel) and neither did skipping between clips. Didn't happen all the time, but often enough to be a nuisance.
    - Two or three times when booting up the camera, the side handle wouldn't "turn on". The buttons didn't work and there was nothing on the display. After a reboot it worked again.
    - I had this happen only once, but when the same camera was with another operator on a shoot before this one, this occurred a few times: the 5" touch screen would go dark and stop responding when toggling image magnify. HDMI out kept working and I was able to use the power button to soft power down the camera.

Should I open a support ticket for these issues and have any of these been fixed with 3.3.4?

Yes, please open a support ticket and get a log ready to send in.

I don't believe any of these problems have been explicitly addressed in 3.3.4

I had the same problem, no phantom power after upgrading to 3.3. The option was greyed out. So I hooked up my Denecke external phantom power unit to the mics, and audio record worked fine. Then I tried plugging the mics directly in without the Denecke unit, and the EPIC phantom power worked. Maybe the pump needed priming?

Im curios if the magnify to 1:1 and then back to 100% is a little slower in 3.3 compared to Scarlet_build_3_v3.0.7? Since the rest of the gui should be more snappy
I bet that it is not slower.
