A list of my Favorite and Least-Favorite JAMES BOND movies...

    Favorite

    1. For Your Eyes Only
    2. The Spy Who Loved Me
    3. Dr. No
    4. Goldfinger
    5. Moonraker

    Least Favorite

    1. A View to a Kill
    2. Die Another Day
    3. Diamonds are Forever
    4. Tomorrow Never Dies
    5. You Only Live Twice

I realize that Moonraker is a controversial choice, especially over films like From Russia With Love, but these are simply the films I enjoy watching most, not necessarily the "best." Yes, Moonraker is silly, but it's also a lot of fun.

I'd break it down to three parts for my personal list

    1. Most favored--anything with Sean Connery, including the Never Say Never Again.
    2. Daniel Craig ones.
    3. Sir Roger Moore ones
    *3.a All the rest

And of the Sean Connery ones, I'd say

    Dr. No
tie between You Only Live Twice and Goldfinger (Bond: You expect me to talk? Goldfinger: No Mr. Bond... I expect you to die.)
Thunderball (especially for the theme song by Tom Jones)

    * exception-- though I did not see On Her Majesty's Secret Service, I heard from friends that George Lazenby did an outstanding job as Connery's replacement. I had to do a search to find who played Bond in that and found this page:

There's a lot of old Bond stuff out there I didn't know existed.

    Tom,

Good calls. I always find myself gravitating towards "For your eyes only" every time I wanna just watch a Bond, it is not only my favorite Roger Moore entry, but probably my favorite all around. Looking at your list, I also detest all those Brosnan films, though I loved him for the character and certainly put Goldeneye among my top 3.

    Favorites
    - For your Eyes Only
    - Thunderball
    - Goldeneye
    - The spy who loved me
    - Casino Royale

My favourites are Dr. No, Moonraker and Never Say Never Again. Moonraker is enormous fun and a great fun movie. It may not be what the purists think of as "James Bond", but that's missing the point! It's such an enjoyable movie compared to the tedium of Casino Royale or the terminal Quantum of Solace...

I actually wrote a treatment for a Bond Movie using a female agent named Jamey Bond. It was treated as a serious but light-hearted story.

With all due respect to Sir Roger, even at the low tide of '70s fashion, James Bond would never have been caught dead wearing this:

    ______________
    Muleskinner Films
