    The O-Box seems sturdy enough?

Is it a good idea to mount an arm to it for the touch LCD, and which arms might be workable (hopefully giving just enough range of motion to use with the default monitor cable length?

Check out RAM Mounts. Strong as hell and cheap. I've used the 1" Ball mount from O'Box a bunch of times. You can even use them as a handle they're that strong. Won't run more than 50.00.

    Sturdy enough; it sure is!

That’s why we included a cheese stick with 1/4 and 3/8 mounting points over the sunshade.

There are a variety of Noga type arms available out there that will do what you want. A friend of mine turned me on to these last year http://www.ulcs.com/ they are really great and lock down tight.

That's it. Love their stuff. I've lifted my camera with a ram mount on an O'Box.
