  1. #1 REDCINE-X -> PremierePro CS6 - > Speedgrade??
    I'm trying to get a clean workflow,
    with a quick look/setting at files in RedCineX, then make a cut in PremierePro and final grading in Speedgrade.

    How do you usually work with this workflow? I'm new to RED, just trying to get a clean picture with some footage that we made as a test with a rented EPIC.
    I would like to keep the power of RAW files all the way down to Speedgrade, is that possible?
    Should I use proxy files?

    I don't have a very powerful system, should I transcode RAW files to ProRes4444 from RedCine? In this way I will loose the ability to edit the raw files...

    It makes sense to to do the Pregrading in Redcine X and import the RAW-files afterwards in PP. Here you can easily continue to work nativly on RED RAW. Speedgrade loses that path and continues with DPX transcodings.

    Cheers
    Thomas.

    Does the EDL PremierePro->Speedgrade path works?

    SpeedGrade only transcoded to DPX if you use Send to Speedgrade command.

    Ok, so far so good.

    Light grading in RedCineX, opened in PremierePro, fast cut, export EDL, open in Speedgrade and grade.
    Now?? I mean, is there a way to go back to PPro via EDL? I remember that you can easily go back and forth between FCP and Color, is there a similar workflow for PPro/Speedgrade?

    Not yet, SpeedGrade is a new addition to Creative Suite.
