I'm interested in hearing your opinions on if the soon to be released Blackmagic Decklink 4K is an appropriate card for color grading. Will it give accurate colors and deep color if I convert the SDI signal to HDMI for my Dreamcolor monitor?

If you're using Resolve I believe only the Decklink Extreme 3D card is currently supported. That card had a ton of outputs including HDMI.

I can't think of any reason why the Decklink 4K wouldn't work with Resolve. But to be on the safe side, ask BMD.

On th BM website for DaVinci Resolve 9 they mention:

    " 4K Grading and Monitoring
DaVinci Resolve for Mac, Windows and Linux offer 4K monitoring when combined with the DeckLink 4K video card. With DeckLink 4K and a 4K projector or monitor, your DaVinci Resolve grading suite offers the highest quality grading and display in the industry, so you can see every subtle detail of your grade on any screen size."

Does the Decklink 4K (or even the Extreme 3D) give you LUT support from within the system preferences pane? I know the old Extreme 2 and the old Multibridge Pros did, but I can't find any reference to the newer Decklink cards.
